something about me
As a young adult, I spent most of my time exploring and playing in the forests, mountains and coastlines of Aotearoa. This fostered in me a deep love for the natural world. It began with adventure, then conservation work found its way in. Before long this love for Earth found new ways to be expressed as I explored Permaculture: food forests, wetland planting, market gardening, tutoring. Through this work I developed the deep ambition for humans to take our place as keystone Regenerative species, applying ecological principles to everything we touched.
I still hold that ambition and now I see that how we act is simply an outward expression of our inner world. This inner world is shaped by our stories, our wounds and the ways we have adapted to survive in a numb culture that appears, based on results so far, determined to wipe out life on Earth. Until our internal ecologies are thriving, we have no chance of transforming the world around us.
We do not heal alone. As creatures of Earth, we heal as Earth heals.
So, I work from both ends - Healing, evolving and playing with both outer and inner ecologies.
The pulse of life is strong. Many things are possible.
By doing this work individually we feed the collective field of cultural Evolution. The culture that Earth needs right now is unfolding one enlivened adult at a time. I can not think of anything more interesting, important and fun to be a part of.
